Speed Camp FAQ

What is the Sign-up Process?
You need to fill out the Registration Form(on the Camp Registration Page), and click continue. Payment can be made either through Paypal, by mailing a check to the address on the Contact Us Page, or bringing a check on the first day of the program. Within 24 hours of receiving your registration, you should get a confirmation email from us at the email address you provide. If you don’t receive this confirmation email, we probably didn’t get your registration!

How many people are in the camps?
The number of kids will vary, but will generally be between 10 and 20. The player to coach ratio will be about 10 to 1.

How long do the camps last each day?
The camps last one hour, and will include a warm-up routine at the beginning. Make sure to arrive a few minutes early so you don’t miss the warm-up.

How much does the camp cost?
For 12 sessions, the cost is $189, and for 8 sessions, the cost is $149. At less than $16 per session, each day costs much less than a personal training session at a gym. The athlete will still get individual attention and instruction, with the added benefit of peer support and competition. There are also several ways to get discounts on every camp. Is it a good idea to sign my child up during their sports season, or is it best to wait for the off-season?
Signing up during their season and during their off-season can benefit each athlete. The camp is designed to improve their running form, quickness and explosiveness, which will help any time of the year. If you are in a season, or anticipate many scheduling conflicts, a 2 day/week camp may be best. To provide flexibility, the athlete has the option of choosing which 2 days of the week to attend.

What kind of kid attends these camps?
The Accelerate Omaha camps are great for all kids 8 to 18 years of age. Whether you are the fastest kid on your team, or you are looking to catch up to the fastest kids, we can help. These camps are also a great way for all kids to get in great shape.

Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to finish a camp due to an injury, please let us know and we will give you a credit towards a future camp. There will be no refunds given, and you must let us know of any situation when it occurs. The credit will be valid for 365 days from the day it is given.

What is a typical workout?
This is a tough question because each workout will be different, but we will always strive to have correct form, challenge the kids, and have fun. Workouts will include plyometrics, sprint work, agility work, core workouts, and much more!

What if I won’t be able to make it to all of the scheduled days?
That is completely fine. If you know that you will have to miss some days ahead of time, I would suggest signing up for the 2 day/week camp. This way you can miss your conflicting days and still get 8 sessions in during the camp.

Are the camps outside?
During the spring and summer, the camps will be outdoors. This will allow us plenty of space to do our work, and will also give us a “natural” playing surface to workout on. In the winter, the camps will be indoors.

What if the weather is bad?
If it is extremely cold or wet, we will cancel a session and have a make-up date. All missed days will be made up.
